No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn.

April (February, Marts) adventures!

So it´s already April, actually the end of April. And i have really now idea where the last 2 months went.  But even though they have went by fast, a lot of things has happened.  I started softball, went on vacation, then had spring break, a lot of games and just having a good time.

Earlier today i looked at my countdown on my phone, and I can't believe that there is only 24 school days left. It´s so unreal, I still feel like we are in January, and that i still have a half year to go. But that´s not the case. My flight home is the 29th of June, and even though im super excited to see my family "soon", i´m not looking forward to saying goodbye to my Family and friends here at all.
Mostly because i know that the majority of them, i will probably never see again. So i think it might be harder to Leave here in June, than it was to leave Denmark in August, because when i left Denmark, after all i did know that i was going to see them all again. But i dont know yet, i just hope i can go trough it without a 1000 tears (But that is not gonna happen). But here is some pictures from what i have been during the past 2-3 months. :)

We got a lot of snow, and really low temperatures during February and marts. That resulted in really big icicles. Some of them were about 1.5-2 meters long.

Pictures from a sleepover at Poppy´s house. We are trying to do the "american" pose. I dont know how good it became, but we tried.
Another one from the sleepover

From Ava´s last game at St. Johns Lutherans school. Next year she will be going to Defiance High School.

Present from my "half birthday". Since my birthday is in August, im not gonna celebrate my birthday. So my amazing family decided to make it my half birthday. She i got present, and we went out for dinner. They´re the best.

Another basketball game agains Wan wert high school.

What else to do on long car rides than draw in the fogged window and photograph it.

We made the paper, and we are looking super interested in the game.. Or not.
But we were.

At a sleepover, they had the amazing idea of painting our flags and write our nicknames on it.
(From the left:Poppy, Me, Fransesca, Micaela, Abby, Leo and Lindsey. )
I told you it was cold here! :)

A random picture from Poppy polaroid camera.

Annnd, i got a package from Denmark! Wup up. With magazines, CANDY, a sweet card etc. I love getting packages from home! :)

From another basketball game.

We went to Toledo to watch ice hockey. Toledo against someone from Indiana i think. But it was a charity game, so they painted the ice pink for give attention to Breast cancer.

We had amazing seats, right at the ice.

Ok, really bad picture but it was the only one i had in the school uniform. #Godefiancebulldogs!

The Maumee river.

Yep, another basketball game. District final.

And they won!

And we were on vacation!

 A bit shopping.
Roadtrip selfie, Ava is having a great time.. :)

We stayed over night in Gatlingburg, North carolina. And close to that is something called Dollywood, named after Dolly Parton, because it´s her hometown. But in that were a restaurant. With a forrest gump theme. And we got the kitchen. And they waiters made a Forrest Gump trivia for us. It was really cool.

On the way home we came by "The mystery machine"

The semi-state-final defiance vs. Dayton Dunbar. And we won, but it was way to close.

The final! Against catholic central. If the picture is unclear i can tell you that the score is 39-39 with 5.1 second left. And we had a free throw. and got it in. The other team got the ball with still 4 seconds. Made it to the other end and dunked it. But he hang on the bakset too long, so the goal didn't count. So we won.

The best softball girls!

And my prom dress is brought.

Rabbit out side my window.

On the way to church

Easter with the family.

And we went paint balling! It was really fun, even though im always blue and green the day after.

More softball picures.

At a birthday party. They did paint-twister.!

Ava´s confirmation speech at church.

The tree is blossoming,

My school locker!

Yesterday i went to a mock-car crash. It showed what would happen when driving drunk or texting. It was really good, and there was a helicopter coming in and taking "a patient" to the hospital. And there was also 4 or 5 other schools from the area.

From my half birthday :)

On our way to hilton head we stopped at this wonderful, but dangerous place. There was a bunch of waterfalls. But a lot of the water all around was melted down on the stone stairs and then froze again, so you had to walk really really slow, because everything you walked on was ice.

The border to West Virginia.

We came by this little town called Mayberry, which ones were the scenery from a famous american tv-show called "Arthur Griffith show" (Look it up on google, it something about a policeman, and stuff i dont really know either) But we came by this little hairdresser. he is on the Hall of Fame of hairdresser in the U.S and he have cut hair on a bunch of famous people.

Finally in the hotel room! :)

Our view.

The most beautiful beach!!

Danish flag in the American sand.

Mawmaw and Pawpaw came from Texas to vacation with us. They are the best people!

A pretty danish car! I ask the owner why they had all the danish stuff on it, he said his wife´s family was danish.. Was kinda looking forward to speaking danish with them. haha

Sigh seeing in Savanna, Georgia.

Where we stayed 2 night in the smokey mountains, in Gatlinburg. One of the most beautiful scenes i have ever seen. And the reason you can only see the white outside the windows is because it is only white out there. Like we are in the clouds.

Easter came, with the "easter bunny"/ the best host parents ever. And they also gave me tha cutest shirt. "I left my heart in Defiance Ohio."
